Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Grind the coconut, green chillies & cumin seeds with sufficient water in a mixer grinder to get a semi thick paste. Set it aside. Peel the skin of the raw pappaya and cut into medium sized cubes. In a clay pot, add the pappaya cubes, onions, turmeric powder, salt as required and a cup of water & set it on medium flame. Stir occasionally.

Meanwhile, blend the yoghurt for 3 sec in a blender and set it aside. Cook the pappaya until it is soft and done. Add the coconut paste prepared earlier. Add sufficient water & mix well. Bring it to a boil & then simmer and cook for a minute.

  3. 3

Add the blended yoghurt & mix well. Switch off the flame immediately. Heat the coconut oil in a seasoning pan, splutter the mustard seeds, break in a kashmiri chilli and then add the curry leaves. Saute for 5 sec and pour it to the pappya curry.
