Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 400 gminced beef
  2. 800 gcanned peeled tomatoes
  3. Lasagna noodles
  4. 1onion
  5. 1 tbsp.Italian seasoning (e.g. oregano, basil, marjoram)
  6. 1 tsp.paprika
  7. 400 gany creamy cheese (e.g. ricotta)
  8. 3 1/2 cupsshredded mozzarella
  9. 1egg
  10. 1/4 cupgrated any hard cheese (e.g. parmesan)
  11. Olive oil
  12. Salt
  13. Pepper
  14. Fresh parsley leaves (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a pot. Add in the minced beef and the chopped onion, season with salt and pepper. Fry until the beef browns, about 5 minutes.

    Pour off the rendered fat from the beef. Turn the heat off, and add in the canned tomatoes, paprika and Italian seasoning. Crush up the tomatoes, so it makes a nice mixture.

    In a bowl, combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and the egg, beaten.

    Oil up a baking dish. Spread 1 cup of the tomato mixture. Add a layer of lasagna noodles. Spread 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture on top, and then add 1 cup of shredded mozzarella on top of that. Repeat these layers one more time.

    Top with another layer of noodles, remaining tomato mixture, remaining mozzarella, and the grated hard cheese.

    Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes. After that, take it out of the oven, and let it sit for 10 minutes.

    Serve with some freshly chopped parsley on top.
