Ingredients

30 minutes
5 people
  • 150 gmsurad daal (pulse)
  • 100 gmchana daal (pulse)
  • as requiredWater
  • 2onions
  • 2tomatoes
  • 3-4green chillies
  • 1ginger
  • 5-6garlic cloves
  • FewFresh coriander leaves
  • as per tasteSalt
  • As Per RequiredRed chilli powder
  • as requiredTurmeric powder
  • As requiredBlack pepper powder

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Fill water in the cooker as required for boil pulses. After heating the water, add washed pulses to it

  2. 2

    Add salt and turmeric powder to it. After 4 whistles, turn off the flame

  3. 3

    Now chop the onions and tomatoes. Grind the ginger, peeled garlic, and green chilies.

  4. 4

    Now take a pan for tadka fry. Add 2-3 tablespoons oil.

  5. 5

    After heating oil, add grinded ingredients to it. After sauteing it for 1 minute, add chopped onions

  6. 6

    After sauteing it, add red chili powder and black pepper powder.

  7. 7

    Then add chopped tomatoes to it. Saute it for 5-10 minutes.

  8. 8

    Then add this tadka fry into the daal. Boil for 1 -2 minutes.

    Our special daal is ready.
