Slice the bread into pieces about 1/2 inch thick. You can also use pre-sliced sandwich bread, but if you do, toast it in the oven first.

In a small bowl, pour some olive oil and add a garlic clove cut in half. Rub the bread slices well with the garlic clove dipped in oil.

Chop the tomatoes (cherry or grape tomatoes work best) into small pieces. Finely chop a garlic clove and some basil.

Mix the tomatoes, garlic, and basil together with a drizzle of olive oil.

Top the prepared bread slices with the tomato mixture. Serve immediately!
