  8. For katahale dastan (for marination)
  9. 250 gmJackfruit (kathal) (boiled & deep fry)
  10. 2 tbsphung curd
  11. 2 tbspcoconut paste
  12. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1/2garam masala
  14. to tasteSalt
  15. 1 tbsplemon juice
  16. 1/2 tspkasuri methi
  17. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  18. 2 tspoil
  19. For gravy
  20. 1 tspcumin seeds
  21. 2 tbspOil
  22. 2tomato puree
  23. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  24. 1 tbspbutter
  25. As per requirementDry spice
  26. 1/2kasuri methi
  27. as per tastesalt
  28. Mustard dip
  29. 1 tbspblack mustard
  30. 1 tbspyellow mustard
  31. 1/2row mango chopped
  32. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  33. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  34. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  35. 1/2lemon juice

  39. 1/2 tspcumin seeds

Cooking Instructions

    Knead all lavash bread ingredients together well.

    Once the dough is firm rest it under a damp cloth for 2 hours

    Make round balls of the dough weighing 70grams each.

    Flatten them and roll them as fine as you can with a rolling pin

    I have cooked it multi iron tawa because I don’t have tandoor.if you have tandoor you can make in it. Keep aside.

    Method for kathale dastan.

    Take a bowl and add all marination ingredients mix well. Keep rest for 30 minutes for marinate. take a pan heat a oil add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste, saute it.
    Add tomato puree, butter and all spices, kasuri methi, saute it.Then add marinate mixture and mix it well. Put it 8 to 10 minutes on middium flame cover the lid. Kathale dastan ready to fill.

    Method for mustard dip..
    take a mixer jar and add all ingredients then make a fine paste. heat a pan add oil put cumin seeds and add mustard paste and stir it. keep rest this dip and put it air container jar.dip is ready.

    Now make a potli. Take a plate put up sliver foil n put up a lavash bread. Now spread a mustard deep and put up a 2 tbsp kathale dastan.

    Wrap the Lavaash like a potli and secure with a silver foil. Bake in the oven at 200 C for 6-7 minutes

    Remove the foil and garnish with a sliced coconut coriander spring,a lemon wedge and some pomegranate seeds.
