Heat oil in Kadai. Add mustard seeds & curry leaves. Fry onion pieces on it. Add semolina & fry it well.

Then add turmeric powder, salt & water. fry it till the Upma turns dry. Add ghee & cover the Kadai with a lid. Rest it for 5 minutes. Upma is ready to Serve.
