No-Mess Korean-style Mini Burgers

This is an experimental recipe that I made to use up gochujang paste that I bought impulsively... I used it in a stuffed meat recipe as well.

The sesame oil mixed into the meat will seep out when you cook the patties, so you only need a little bit of oil to cook them. I recommend using a paper towel to spread the oil on the pan.The cooking time depends on the thickness of the patties, so adjust the cooking time accordingly. Recipe by Michel Yamada

Ingredients

9 servings
  1. 300 gramsCombined ground beef and pork
  2. 1 clove● Garlic
  3. 1/2 tsp● Grated ginger
  4. 2 tbsp● Soy sauce
  5. 2 tbsp● Gochujang
  6. 1 tbsp● Sake
  7. 1 tbsp● Katakuriko
  8. 1 tsp● Sugar
  9. 1 tsp● Sesame oil
  10. 1Nori seaweed
  11. 1Roasted sesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl, mix the ground meat with the ● ingredients.

    Portion the meat mixture onto a surface, such as a cutting board with a big spoon. Use the spoon to shape into patties.

    Lightly coat a pan with oil and cook the patties. Cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.

    Flip them over and cover with a lid (or cover with aluminum foil) and cook for 2 minutes. Transfer onto plates, scatter seaweed strips and sesame on top, and it's done!
