Steps

Boil Chana dal in pressure cooker (3 whistle) with green chillies.

Heat kadai & add 1 dried red chilli,1 tsp. Cumin seeds & asafoetida.Then add boiled dal & water.

Then add ginger paste,salt & sugar.Cook it for 5 minutes in low flame. Add fried cumin powder & garam masala powder.Cover the kadai with lid for 2 minutes in low flame. Then switch off the flame. Chana Dal is ready to be serve with Puri,luchi, Paratha or Polau.
