Ingredients

45 minutes
2 servings
  • 1 cupchana
  • 1boiled potato
  • 1chopped onion
  • 2chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tspgarlic paste
  • 1 tsphaldi
  • 2 tspred chilli powder
  • 2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 2 tsproasted besan
  • 2 tsptamarind pulp
  • 2 tspjaggery
  • 4 tspoil
  • 1/2 tsphing
  • 1 tspjeera
  • 1 tspeno soda
  • 2Chopped green chillies
  • as required Chopped coriander
  • as per taste salt
  • as required Water

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak chana overnight in water.
    Drain water, pour fresh water add sida and cook in pressure cooker till 8 whistles.

  2. 2

    Take a kadai, add oil, jeera, hing, chopped green chillies and garlic..
    Saute for a minute.

  3. 3

    Add chopped onions, saute till turns translucent. Add chopped tomato and cook till turns soft.

  4. 4

    Now add boiled potato pieces.
    Add salt, haldi, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, mix well.

  5. 5

    Add roasted besan, mix well. Add tamarind pulp and jaggery..Pour water as required for thick gravy.

  6. 6

    Add boiled chana, mix well. Cover a lid, cook for couple of minutes to absorb all masalas in chana..

  7. 7

    Turn off gas, sprinkle chopped coriander and pack in lunch box..

  8. 8

    Pack mini lunch a full of protein and carbo - paratha, jeera rice and chana masala..

At the age of 18, I got married to a huge joint family and started my new journey. My family loves my dishes and appreciates me. Especially my husband and my son.
