Had a V-8 moment after breakfast. I used bacon leftover from breakfast, and leftover rice. Next time I will start with raw bacon. Should serve 2 people, but I ate it all!
Second Thought Fried Rice
Had a V-8 moment after breakfast. I used bacon leftover from breakfast, and leftover rice. Next time I will start with raw bacon. Should serve 2 people, but I ate it all!
Steps

Assemble and prepare all ingredients.

Cook bacon and remove from skillet. Save the grease.

Add a dash of light soy sauce, and a few drops of sesame oil to the eggs. In another skillet, cook in butter until almost done. Remove from heat.

Add onion/shallot. Cook until fragrant

Add rice and butter or oil if needed. Get as much of that bacon goodness (fond) mixed in as you can.

Season to taste with MSG and white pepper. I used a heaping teaspoon of MSG, and a dash or two of white pepper.

Add garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant. Add in soy and oyster sauces. Return bacon and check for seasoning.

Return eggs, add bell pepper, and peas.
