Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  • Foxtail millet 1 cup (washed and soaked for 2 hours)
    Spinach and Millets Chilla/ Palakache Dhirde
  • 1/4 cupSuji (roasted)
    Aloo Suji Dosa
  • 1 tablespoonGhee
  • Chana daal, urad daal, mustard seeds 2 tsp each
  • 1/4 tspHing
  • Red dried chillies 2 (optional)
  • Curry leaves 6 to 8
  • 1Chopped onion
  • Grated ginger 1 yep
  • 1Chopped tomato
  • Boiled mixed vegetables 1 cup (Peas, carrots, beans)
  • 1 tspChilli powder
  • Salt and sugar to balance the taste
  • 3 cupsBoiling Water
  • Chopped green coriander leaves to garnish
  • 5-6Fried cashews

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    First, heat an iron kadhai. Add ghee, chana daal, urad daal, mustard seeds and let them crackle. Then add hing, curry leaves, red chillies, and give a good mix.

    Then add onions, ginger and saute till aromatic. Add tomatoes and cook for a minute. Then add the vegetables, soaked millet and stir well.

  3. 3

    Then add the sooji, mix well. Now add the seasonings, hot water and cook covered on slow heat till soft and done.

  4. 4

    Garnish with cashews, chopped coriander leaves and serve with favourite chutney.
