Steps
- 1
Add the oil, hot water, salt, and sugar. Add the yeast and allow to bloom. This will take about 10 minutes. When bloomed Measure the flour and add.
- 2
Add the honey and mix knead dough 10 minutes. Oil a bowl with olive oil. Form a ball and coat with oil. This allows it to remain moist and also so it won't stick to bowl. Cover with a towel set in a warm place to rise.
- 3
After 2 hours or a bit more it will rise to about double or more in size. Poke it form a ball cover and let rise again. Preheat oven to 400° Fahrenheit.
- 4
It has almost triple from original size. Ok looking good. Cut in half. Form a loaf. Cut an X in middle top.
- 5
Put a tablespoon of honey in X and bake for 45-50 minutes. Put in now so when you finish and bake the rolls all should come out at same time. Cut the other half into half again. With half roll out like a fat log. Divide into 6 pieces and cut them into half just as long all are very close to being equally in size. Repeat with the rest of dough. Put on a baking pan.
- 6
Bake 20-25 minutes. When done slather with butter.
- 7
Taste test...... Approved by the critical panel of granddaughters!!! Serve I hope you enjoy!!!
