Wash and deseeded the pumpkin then cut into small pieces. Hea oil in a kadhai,add cumin seeds and asafoetida saute 30 seconds.add onion.saute onion for 2 minutes.

When onion turned golden brown add chopped tomatoes, salt,turmeric and red Chilli powder.mix and cook for 2 minutes then add pumpkin.

Mixed well and cover.Cook on low to medium flame for 10-12 minutes or until the pumpkin turn soft. Now add amchur powder and garam masala powder mix and cook on high flame until the oil comes on surface.add coriander leaves, mix again.turn off the flame.

Dish out and serve with puri or roti.
