Brew the tea. I used 3 tea bags of PG tips for 1 cup of tea

Add sugar to the oil in a bowl and mix well. Then add the eggs in one by one, followed by the tea and the vanilla essence. You do not need baking powder if your tea is concentrated (ie not too much water)

Mix the flour and salt in a separate bowl. Add this to the batter in batches, don't overmix to prevent the cake from being gummy later on.

Pour the batter into the cake tin, bake at 180C for 1 hr 30 min or until the cake is baked through.
