In a bowl, soak hing in 1 tablespoon of hot water
Add some water to the paste ingredients and blend them in a mixer
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-low heat. Add flour and fry lightly; Mix fried flour, cumin powder, ajwan, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chill, hing, salt, sesame seeds in a bowl. Mix together with fingers. Add the paste, mix adding water little by little. Add a small spoonful of hot oil; knead; make a soft dough
Rest the dough for 15-30 minutes. - 3
Heat oil in a kadai on medium high flame. Apply oil inside the mould. Place the kneaded dough to ¾ of the mould and press directly into hot oil. Alternatively you can make the murukku on the spoon and slide it into the hot oil. You will see bubbles in The hot oil.

After a couple of minutes, using a slotted spoon turn the murukkus. Let the bubbles subside; murukku will turn golden and crisp. Place the fried murukkus on a paper towel. A paper towel will remove the oil from surface of the murukkus. I could make 10 murukkus. Aromatic flavorful murukkus are ready taste. Transfer the murukkus to a serving plate or bowl. Good for a picnic, sunshine or rain. Enjoy with a hot cup of tea or coffee on a rainy day
