I have made a delicious and nutritious trevti dal here today. This dal is also known as Gujarati dal. These dals are easily made from ingredients that are easily available at home. Trevti dal is liked to all, young and old.

After washing gram dal, moong dal and tuwer dal with clean water, soak them for an hour and add some turmeric and boil them in a cooker.

Heat oil in a pan and saute cumin seeds, asafoetida, and dry red chillies. Then add neem and ginger chilli paste.

Now add onion and garlic to it and saute till it turns light pink. Then add chopped tomatoes and let it cook for a minute.

Now add red chilli powder, coriander, turmeric and salt to taste. Add fenugreek and mix well.

Mash the boiled dal and add it to this gravy mix everything well and cook for a minute. As thin as the dal is desired, add some water to it.

After adding water, boil it for five minutes and then add some spices and coriander.

So here our trevti dal is ready to serve.
