Ingredients

1 1/2 - 2 hours
5 peoples
  • 2 lbsLauki squash finely grated
  • 3 litersMilk 🥛 with cream (malai)
  • Pure Cane Sugar I used 2 1/2 cups You can adjust accordingly
  • few dropsGreen food color
  • Saffron few threads Un broken or crushed
  • Almonds and pistachios for garnish
  • 1 cupUnsalted butter 🧈

Steps

1 1/2 - 2 hours
  1. 1

    Boil milk 🥛 with saffron and add grated lauki until all the dries up stirring occasionally

  2. 2

    Add sugar and food color. Continue to cook and stirring frequently till it forms a soft dough

  3. 3

    Add butter 🧈 mix it well till all the butter 🧈 is melted and appears oily by the edges of your pan

  4. 4

    Remove from heat set in a bowl garnish with nuts of your choice refrigerate to chill

  5. 5

    Enjoy it hot or cold.
