This is a variety of sweet prepared in andhra for devi navarathri and sankranti .The process of making stuffing is only different then the one which I have posted for prasadam borellu ,rest everything remains the same .

This is a variety of sweet prepared in andhra for devi navarathri and sankranti .The process of making stuffing is only different then the one which I have posted for prasadam borellu ,rest everything remains the same .
Steps

Soak moong dal for 3-4 hours. Grind the dal in mixer to make a smooth batter by adding little water.

Steam cook the batter for 10 mins like we make idli. Once it is done allow it to cool.using hand make it into soft mixture or we can put it in mixer and make it like powder.

Add ghee to pan and roast the grated coconut till it turns golden.

Add the mixture of moong dal, coconut and sugar in a bowl and mix well and add elaichi powder. keep it aside for some time.Then make balls of this mixture.

We can use flours to make batter. Another variation is to soak urad dal and rice for 3-4 hours and then grind it to make dosa batter.

Add one ball each time to the batter,dip and roll it in the batterand then put it in the oil to fry.continue this with all the balls.
