White biryani is a new addition in Biryani family .. Why it is called White? Because it has no food colour and the best part is gravy made without tomatoes 🙂

Cut onion in slices..

In a wok heat oil add onion with all whole spices..

Fry for 3,4 min until translucent..

Now add mutton with ginger garlic paste.. bhounfy well for 6,8 min..

Add 1 cup. Water and cover the lid.. cook on low flame until half tender..

Now in a bowl take yogurt with all spices and dry plum.. whisk well..

Add this to mutton and cook for 8,10 min..

When masala bhounfy well and oil separated and potatoes cut in cubes..

Cook for more 15 min till tender..

Remove from flame..

Soak and boil rice accordingly..

Now in a big pot.. first grease pan with gravy oil(my mom tip) it enhance the taste of inside rice layer.

Now layer with half of the rice, gravy then on top lemon slices, tomato, green chillies and coriander..

Cover with remaining rice.. sprinkle some black pepper and all spice powder on top..

Cover the lid,put first on high flame then on medium low for 10,15 min..

Enjoy with kachumbar
