This is my guilty takeaway treat so I thought I’d try and make it myself. Of course beef can be substituted with chicken or tofu.

This is my guilty takeaway treat so I thought I’d try and make it myself. Of course beef can be substituted with chicken or tofu.

Gather ingredients

Mix together the sauce ingredients and set aside

Mix the egg & cover the steak strips in egg
- 4
Coat the steak strips in cornflour
- 5
Fry the steak strips in hot oil until dark brown (5 minutes). Set aside.

Fry the pepper spring onions & garlic
- 7
Add the sauce ingredients
- 8
Simmer for 2 minutes then add the beef back in to coat with sauce
- 9
Serve with rice or noodles
