Ingredients

  2. 2 tablespoonscornstarch flour

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and slice thinly. Rinse with water, drain and dry with paper towel.

    Prepare a bowl with cornstarch.

  3. 3

    Coat thinly each slice on both sides with cornstarch. Roll up.

  4. 4

    Pierce with wooden toothpick to hold the roll tightly.

  5. 5

    Heat up enough cooking oil in the frying pan with low-medium heat. To test the temperature, drop one roll in. If it is bubbling, drop in the rest.

    Remove the roll from the pan once color turn yellow. Leave it on paper towel to allow steam escape for about 1 minute. It's still not yet crispy at this stage.

    Turn on the heat to medium. Drop in the roll again for second fry. Remove once color almost golden brown which will happen very quickly.

    Remove the toothpick carefully. Ready to serve with ketchup sauce.
