Serves 8 servings
  1. 6 1/3 cupswhole milk (1.5 liters)
  2. 1/3 cupgranulated sugar (80 grams)
  3. 1 1/4 cupsshort-grain rice for dessert (250 grams)
  4. Vanilla powder
  5. Vanilla extract
  6. 1 teaspoonchestnut cream per serving

  1. 1

    In a large saucepan, heat the milk with the sugar and vanilla. Bring to a gentle simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring constantly. Let rest for 20 to 30 minutes.

    Spoon the rice pudding into individual cups, then add a teaspoon of chestnut cream on top of each.

    Chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
