In a large saucepan, heat the milk with the sugar and vanilla. Bring to a gentle simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring constantly. Let rest for 20 to 30 minutes.

Spoon the rice pudding into individual cups, then add a teaspoon of chestnut cream on top of each.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
