Carrot Halwa with Milk Powder

Carrot halwa is traditionally made with milk, but today I've made it with milk powder. Even if you don't add milk powder, the carrot halwa turns out just as tasty.
Carrot Halwa with Milk Powder
Carrot halwa is traditionally made with milk, but today I've made it with milk powder. Even if you don't add milk powder, the carrot halwa turns out just as tasty.
Steps
- 1
First, add two tablespoons of ghee to a pan. Add the grated carrots and cover, cooking on low heat for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add sugar to the carrots and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
- 2
In another pan, add one tablespoon of ghee. Chop the walnuts, almonds, cashews, and raisins into small pieces and lightly brown them in the ghee. In the same pan, add half a cup of milk. Mix in the milk powder and stir continuously on low heat until it forms a thick mixture. Transfer this mixture to a bowl.
- 3
Add the roasted cashews, almonds, raisins, desiccated coconut, and the milk powder mixture to the carrots. Mix well. Your carrot halwa is ready.
