Ingredients

  • 1 cupFor Dosa Batter:Raw rice
  • 1 cupBoiled rice quarter
  • 1/2 cupUrad dal
  • 1/4 cupCooked rice
  • 1/4 cupWater
  • 1 tspGhee
  • as per requirementButter (optional)
  • 300 gmFor Potatoes Masala: potato
  • 1 tbspShallots chopped
  • 2Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • as neededSalt
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 tspGinger crushed
  • 1 tb spCurry leaves
  • 2Dry Red chilli
  • 1 tspMustard

    Soak the boiled rice & raw rice together & urad dal in other bowl in water for 3 hrs. Grind it into a smooth batter with required water. Close it with a lid. Keep it an overnight to ferment.
    Next day add required salt & mix it well.

    Batter is ready.
    For potato Masala: cook the potatoes in a cooker & mash it.
    Heat a pan, pour 1 tbsp oil, add mustard, when it splutter, add dry red chilli. Then add ginger crushed, chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves. Stir it well 2 min, add turmeric powder, mashed potatoes, salt & water. Stir it 3 min.

    When the water absorbs, add 1 tsp butter or ghee. Remove from heat.

    Potato masala is ready to stuff in the Dosa.

    Heat a pan, pour a ladle of Dosa batter, add 1 tsp ghee on it, then transfer 1 tbsp potato masala on one side. Then cover it & roast it on both sides.

    Remove from heat.
    Serve hot with chutney.
    Crispy & Delicious Masala Dosa is ready. Serve it with butter (a small piece) on top.
