Ingredients

15 minutes
2-3 persons
  1. 2 cupspuffed rice (murmura)
  2. 20 mloil
  3. 1/2 tsprye
  4. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1 tspchana dal
  6. 1 tspurad dal
  7. leavesFew curry
  8. 1 small potato chopped small
  9. 1 small carrot chopped small
  10. 1onion chopped small
  11. Handfulgreen peas/ sweetcorn/ both
  12. 1/4 th tsp grated ginger
  13. 1-2fresh green chillies (adjust as per your taste)
  14. As Per TasteSalt
  15. 1/4th tsp turmeric powder
  16. As RequiredRed chilli powder as per your taste (add if you like spicy)
  17. 1/2 tspcurry powder
  18. As RequiredFinely chopped coriander leaves handful
  19. as per your tasteLemon juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Place a pan, and add puffed rice into it. Make your puffed rice warm for a minute or two in slow heat. Take out and keep aside.

    Next, add oil to the pan. Splutter rye and cumin seeds. Add chana dal, urad dal, and curry leaves.
    Next, add finely chopped onion and grated ginger. Saute for some time.
    Then add the chopped vegetables. Saute for some time. Add salt as needed, turmeric powder, and curry powder.
    Add fresh green chilies. Add red chili powder if you like it spicier. Mix well.

    Cover and cook till vegetables are softened. Switch the heat off.

    Finally, add the crispy muri/ puffed rice/ murmura to the cooked vegetables. Add finely chopped coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice. Toss to mix and serve immediately with a cup of chai!
