Spicy Shahi Paneer

Wash, peel and chop onion, ginger and garlic. Transfer it in a pressure cooker. Add choppped tomatoes, cashew nuts, black pepper seeds, cloves, cinnamom stick and bay leaves and pressure cook till 1 whistle. Let pressure releases automatically. Now grind this in a mixer to a smooth paste.

Cut paneer in small cubes. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder and curd and mix well. Marinate for 30 minutes.

Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add grinded paste and saute till oil leaves the sides. Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water and let it simmer on low flame till it turn thick.

Shallow fry marinated Paneer cubes and transfer it in masala mixture as cooked at step 3. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add butter and mix.

Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves and slit green chilli, with chapatti or puri or naan.
