Make a paste of yoghurt, ginger paste and onion cubed, set aside.

Make a coarse powder of green cardamoms and cloves and set aside

In a pan heat oil and 2 Tbsp ghee and add sliced onions, on medium flame fry until softened and little browned.

Add coriander powder, garlic and black pepper powder and little water and mix well. Add chicken and mix well.

Cook uncovered for 15 mins. The colour will change and chicken is being half cooked. Add yogurt-ginger-onion paste and mix well, cook for further 7-8 mins covered. Chicken will be cooked. Add coarsely crushed cardamom-cloves masala and drizzle ghee. Cover in Dum for 2 mins.
