Had some random vegetables in my fridge so I turned them into porridge. Probably need more tomatoes 🍅

Had some random vegetables in my fridge so I turned them into porridge. Probably need more tomatoes 🍅

Wash the rice and put in your pot with the water. Boil at high heat then reduce to simmer.

Prepare the vegetables.

Put the vegetables, salt, and chicken stock powder in the pot and cook for about 30m, stirring from time to time to prevent burning.

(Optional) While waiting for porridge to cook, make your favorite toppings for the porridge! This helps keeping an eye on the porridge to prevent overflow or burnt base.
I had some spam and frozen stuffs!

Beat an egg until there is no whites, set aside.

Once the vegetables is cooked, continue cooking the porridge until it thickens to your preference.

Mix pepper powder with little bit of water to prevent clumping, mix it in.

One hand stir the pot while another hand slowly pour the egg into the middle of the pot.

Serve with soy sauce, sesame oil, and more pepper if necessary.
