Ingredients

  1. 2 cupswater
  2. 1.5 cupshoney (or other natural sweetener)
  3. 2unpeeled oranges, seeded and chopped fine
  4. fresh ginger, about 4” long, peeled and sliced thinly
  5. 1 poundcranberries (4 cups)
  6. 1 tspground cinnamon
  7. 1/2 tspground cloves
  8. 1 cupraisins

Cooking Instructions

    Combine the water and sweetener in a large saucepan. Bring it to a boil, and stir until they dissolve.

    Add the oranges and ginger.

    Simmer on low, uncovered, until the oranges soften, 20-25 minutes.

    Add the cranberries, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook, uncovered, until the cranberries pop and the mixture thickens. This takes 10-15 minutes.

    Stir in the raisins and cook until big bubbles appear, about 7 minutes.

    Let cool. Serve at room temperature.
