Arrange and assemble the ingredients. Take soaked yellow moong dal and a cup of water, chopped veggies and tomatoes in a pressure cooker. Cook for 1 whistle. Cool down naturally.

Heat oil and ghee in a pan

Add ponch phutan, chopped ginger, chopped onion, both types of chillies and bay leaves. Roast on medium to low flame till aromatic and onion roasted. Add boiled tomatoes and fresh coconut

Add black pepper and continue roasting till tomatoes are softer.

Mix the roasted coconut 🥥 masala with the boiled vegetables and yellow moong dal. Bring to a boil. Switch off the flame. Add roasted cumin powder and garnish with coriander leaves.
