Pan-Fried Cod with Butter Soy Sauce

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

I love this combination of flavors for all kinds of seafood, including squid. My mother used to make this for me when I was growing up.

Make sure to pan fry it until golden brown, then flip over.
Cod falls apart easily when cooked, so use a spatula.
If the fish is very thick, put a lid on the pan to make sure it cooks through.
You can use any kind of fish you like, but if you use salted salmon or other salty fish, reduce the amount of soy sauce. For 2 servings. Recipe by Chiton

Steps

  1. 1

Note: Cod falls apart easily. So use a spatula and be careful when you flip it over.

  2. 2

Heat up a frying pan and spread some oil in it. Pan fry the cod filets.

Transfer to serving plates, spoon the sauce over and enjoy. If you have some daikon radish sprouts or chopped green onions for garnish, it will look prettier.
