Soy Sauce and Garlic Pickled Shiso Leaves

I made these for onigiri rice balls.
Even if you only have enough time to soak them for half a day, they'll still be delicious. Thoroughly drying the shiso leaves before soaking will allow them to keep longer. Recipe by Kukkingumami-

I made these for onigiri rice balls.
Even if you only have enough time to soak them for half a day, they'll still be delicious. Thoroughly drying the shiso leaves before soaking will allow them to keep longer. Recipe by Kukkingumami-
Steps
- 1
Thinly slice the garlic.
- 2
Place the shiso leaves in a Tupperware container, then add the soy sauce, cooking sake, and sliced garlic.
- 3
Put the container in the fridge to soak. This photo shows how the leaves should look after 1 day of soaking.
- 4
Wrap onigiri rice balls with them, or mince them to make a condiment for other dishes.
