Cooking Instructions
- 1
Use a bread maker to knead.
- 2
Let the dough proof at 30°C until about double size.
- 3
Punch the dough to release the air and divide into 5 portions. Form them into balls. Rest for 10 minutes.
- 4
Using your palm, press gently to flatten. Fold the two sides in to meet in the middle, then fold in half again.
- 5
Roll the portions into the shape of a coffee bean. Let them proof again, this time at 36°C for 30 minutes.
- 6
Sprinkle bread flour on top and cut a slit down the middle. Stuff the butter into the slits. Sprinkle with plenty of granulated sugar at the end.
- 7
Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for 10-15 minutes.

Cafe au Lait Hearth Bread Cafe au Lait Hearth Bread
This is my spin on 'Milky Hearth Bread.' The is great with a cup of coffee. If the caramels are small, then add more. They will melt nicely if you cut them up small.Cut deep slits into the loaf (to the point where you just barely avoid cutting all the way through).Check the shape of the loaf from the center, and reshape it from the sides if necessary. Chestnut and Milk Tea Bread Rolls Chestnut and Milk Tea Bread Rolls
When I was going to make some tea-scented bread, I remembered that I had a lot of chestnuts simmered in their skins in syrup that I'd made before, so I added them into the bread. It smelled so nice! And the sweetness was just right! The bread was delicious! The dough is on the soft side, so if it doesn't come together after kneading it for a while, add a little bread flour, or else reduce the amount of milk tea you add. When putting the rolls on the baking sheet, leave as much space between them as possible since they will increase in volume. You can add tea leaves to the dough too. Petit Sesame Bread Rolls Petit Sesame Bread Rolls
I wanted to make some light sesame bread. If you are making this in a bread making machine, then you can add the olive oil in from the beginning. Add in the sesame last to avoid crush it. It will be fragrant if you sauté the sesames beforehand. The absorption rate will change a bit if you change flours, so you will need to make adjustments once without adding more water. Use 240 g to start with and adjust from there if you are are using domestic flour. Recipe by Pitarou cookpad.japan -
