Easy One-Pot Marshmallow Treats!

This is a famous treat in countries like Canada. It's commonly available there, but not in Japan, so I wrote this recipe! The official name is Rice Krispie Treats, but everyone just calls them Rice Krispies, haha. (I named it 'Marshmallow Treats' because it resembles puffed rice snacks.)
The story behind this recipe
When I first tasted it, it felt like a Western version of puffed rice snacks! It was amazing! Please give it a try!

Steps

  1. 1

This is rice cereal (rice flakes)! I've seen chocolate-flavored ones in Japan!

  2. 2

Once everything is melted, mix the rice flakes into the pot. Note: The amount of rice flakes may vary depending on the marshmallows, so adjust accordingly. It's okay when everything is well combined and it seems like adding more rice flakes wouldn't mix well.

  3. 3

Add butter to the pot, then add the marshmallows in 2 or 3 batches. Melt until the marshmallows lose their shape. Stir well while melting.

  4. 4

After mixing, press the mixture into a large container! Use any container you like. Let it cool slightly, and it's ready! (It's delicious warm too.)
