June 15, 2019: This recipe became popular! It tastes like cheesy potatoes without any potatoes and is addictive! Perfect as a snack, side dish, or appetizer.
The story behind this recipe:
Whenever I make shumai, I always have leftover wrappers. So, I wrapped some cheese in them, and it turned into an addictive snack that tastes like cheesy potatoes. It's been a staple in our home ever since. It's delicious even when cooled, but it's best fresh! As an appetizer, it can steal the show.

As neededdumpling wrappers
As neededsliced cheese (or any cheese that doesn't melt easily)
To taste salt and pepper

Steps

Place the sliced cheese on a cutting board lengthwise and cut it in half. Use 1/2 slice of cheese per dumpling wrapper.

Place a dumpling wrapper on the cutting board as shown in the picture, put the cheese on top, roll the wrapper, and seal it with water.

Heat olive oil in a frying pan, cook the rolls until they are lightly browned on both sides, and finish with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Serve on a plate, and it's ready to enjoy.
