Hearty Somen Noodle Dipping Sauce Hearty Somen Noodle Dipping Sauce
My husband and I came up with this recipe on the weekend. You can make this with leftovers, so it's easy and quick to prepare!Cut the pork into small pieces, and cook well until browned.Use mentsuyu concentrate without diluting it as the water from the grated daikon will do so. Do not squeeze the water from the grated daikon. Top with a handful of chopped leeks. Recipe by ERIelley cookpad.japan -

I love abura-soba, so I tried making a somen version. It might be best to finish boiling the somen a little quicker than usual. You can eat with ra-yu if you prefer You can use green onions or white leek, either is OK! If using white leek, since they're a bit spicy rinse with cold water before serving. Dipped Somen Noodles In Sesame Dipping Sauce Dipped Somen Noodles In Sesame Dipping Sauce
I was bored with regular somen noodles, but store-bought mentsuyu is expensive and I only had a little of it, so I tried making this dipping sauce. The mentsuyu, ra-yu, sesame seed, ginger and green onion amounts are an approximate. Adjust the amount to your liking. Try with salted sliced cucumber, tomatoes, myoga ginger, shiso leaves, etc. to make a hearty noodles dish! This dipping sauce can be used with rice or udon noodles too. Recipe by Nekoyanagi shouten cookpad.japan -

Somen Noodles with Yuzu Pepper Sauce Somen Noodles with Yuzu Pepper Sauce
My husband gets home late, so I wanted to come up with a noodle recipe that can be made in advance and is light on the stomach. Now this recipe is a family favorite. I think you could use pasta too.If you don't have sesame paste, use ground sesame seeds. After chilling the sauce, mix it up before putting it in the serving bowl. The color may look a bit pale in the main photo, but as long as you use the right amount of ingredients it will be properly flavored. Make sure to chill everything well before serving. Ice cold, it tastes so much better than when it's just lukewarm. Cook the noodles so that they're on the firm side before draining, rinsing well in cold water and draining again. For 1 serving. Soy Milk Miso Noodle Sauce for Somen & Udon Noodles Soy Milk Miso Noodle Sauce for Somen & Udon Noodles
I am too busy taking care of my newborn, so most of my lunch tends to be somen noodles, which is easy to prepare.I got tired of the usual mentsuyu sauce, so I prepared this with soy milk and ingredients in my pantry. If you eat with only the basic sauce, it's better to add more miso and soy sauce. The recipe calls for a little less than one serving. Double the recipe if you want lots of sauce or serving to more people. Recipe by Ayapuchi cookpad.japan -
Cold Soba Noodles with Soy Milk Sauce Cold Soba Noodles with Soy Milk Sauce
I won a contest to become a tester for a brand of mentsuyu, so I tried making this. There's soy milk miso soup, so I thought that soy milk soba dipping sauce should work too - and it was delicious! I thought I'd try milk first, but that has a character that doesn't really go well with this. I think that soy milk just goes better with Japanese ingredients. I don't have special bamboo plates for cold soba, so I just used a sushi rolling mat under the soba noodles and used tea cups as dipping cups... I apologize for the makeshift arrangement.Make with soy milk and not milk! Recipe by ochikeron cookpad.japan -
Outstanding Somen Noodles with Bonito Noodle Sauce Granité Outstanding Somen Noodles with Bonito Noodle Sauce Granité
I'm fond of making easy granité at home with club soda, so I tried the method with bonito based mentsuyu noodle sauce concentrate. The result tasted really good, with the flavor of the bonito coming through well. I had my parents try it out too since they're particular about food, but they loved it!All you have to do is make the noodle sauce granité and freeze it, and chill the additions. Then just cook and cool the somen noodles. It's easy! Great for guests. For 3 servings. Recipe by Kikikiki cookpad.japan
