Easy Microwave Vegetable Chips (No Frying)

★A huge thank you to the 100 people who made this recipe popular★
A healthy snack with only the calories from the ingredients, made without oil.
About this recipe
This is a vegetable version of potato and sweet potato chips. I tried using the vegetables found in store-bought vegetable chips. I kept failing with onions... I'll add them to the recipe once I get it right (^^;).

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel the carrots and lotus root, then slice them using a slicer. Be careful with the pumpkin as it's hard and can cause injury.
- 2
Soak the lotus root in water for a while to prevent discoloration, and in the meantime, start microwaving the other vegetables.
- 3
Slice the carrots into matchsticks rather than rounds to prevent burning.
- 4
Press the vegetables with a paper towel to remove moisture, and arrange them on a large plate without overlapping. If adding salt, do it now!
- 5
Microwave for about 1-2 minutes. Flip them over and microwave for another 1-2 minutes (flipping them helps them cook faster and look nicer). ★Be careful of burns!
- 6
※ These have less moisture than potatoes or sweet potatoes, so they cook quickly. Be careful not to burn them.
- 7
Once the moisture has evaporated and they are crispy, they're done!

Non-Fried Vegetable Chips in the Microwave Non-Fried Vegetable Chips in the Microwave
This is a vegetable version of my potato and sweet potato chips recipe. I tried making them with the vegetables used in store-bought vegetable chips.Onions didn't quite work this time, but if I can find a good way to make these chips with onions, I'll upload the recipe.-If you sprinkle the chips with salt after cooking, it will just fall off, so if you want to use it, please add it before cooking. (Kabocha squash and carrots have a slightly sweet flavour so they taste great even without salt.)-The cooking time will vary depending on the size and type of vegetable, so please adjust the cooking time accordingly. Non-Fried Potato Chips Easy in the Microwave Non-Fried Potato Chips Easy in the Microwave
Since store-bought potato chips are high in calories, my family doesn't buy any chips at the store. But my husband was craving potato chips in the middle of the night, so I tried making these in the microwave. I certainly didn't want to go through the trouble of deep-frying the potatoes in the middle of the night! The salt will not stick to the chips if they are seasoned after microwaving, so I recommend seasoning them before microwaving.Even if the chips are not completely dried in the microwave, they will eventually dry up and become crispy if set aside for a while after microwaving. Microwave-Made Apple Chips Microwave-Made Apple Chips
I got tired of always making applesauce, so I attempted to make my own apple chips to change up the texture of my snacks a bit.In the picture they're sliced pretty thickly because I had planned to top them with pancake batter, but the thinner they are, the crisper they'll become!Depending on the amount of moisture in the apples, the cooking time changes. After microwaving for 3 minutes, use the [low power] setting to adjust and you won't mess it up. For as much as you want to make. Recipe by pogue cookpad.japan -

Non-fried Cornmeal Chips Non-fried Cornmeal Chips
Some women have salt cravings when experiencing morning sickness. I think that it's better to eat homemade snacks than eating store-bought junk food, such as potato chips. These are typically made with corn flour and deep fried at 170°C temperature. Recipe by Mikikimiki cookpad.japan -
Oil-Free Non-Fried Potato Chips Oil-Free Non-Fried Potato Chips
I experimented with this recipe with my mother because I wanted to make a homemade snack for my children.Use parchment paper, not paper towels. If you slice the potato too thinly, the chips won't have much texture. Also, when you put the slices on the paper, make sure the slices do not overlap or they'll get stuck to each other!Try peeling the slices off the paper occasionally or turning them for best results. The potato chips may not crisp up enough in a 500 W oven, so test it out yourself. This is a variation on a chocolate cookie recipe from a book my child borrowed from the library. If you don't have a turn-table microwave, please arrange the cookies in the center. They're pretty sweet, so for me, 2 tablespoons of sugar is enough, but my kids seem to like it sweeter with 3 tablespoons of sugar. Please adjust the amount of sugar according to your preference. If you microwave the cookies for too long, they'll burn, so be careful!!Adjust the cooking time as necessary (since each microwave appliance is different!)
