Ingredients

  • 600 g(about 1.3 lbs) chicken breast (2 pieces)
  • For the marinade
  • 1 tablespoonmayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoongrated garlic
  • 1 teaspoongrated ginger
  • 1 tablespooncooking sake
  • 1 teaspoongranulated consommé
  • 3 tablespoonssoy sauce
  • 1egg
  • Coarse black pepper, to taste
  • Just under 1 cup potato starch
  • as neededVegetable oil,

Steps

    Cut the chicken breast in half lengthwise, then slice diagonally into bite-sized pieces.

    Massage well with the marinade ingredients marked with 〇. Let it sit for 1 hour.

    Transfer the chicken to a plastic bag, add potato starch, and shake to coat evenly.

    It should look like this. Heat oil to 180°C (356°F). Let the chicken sit while the oil heats.
