Trim both ends of the edamame pods with scissors to help the salt soak in.

In a pot, bring 2 cups of water and 3 teaspoons of salt to a boil. Add the edamame and boil for 3 to 4 minutes, then drain in a colander.

While still hot, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of finishing salt and let cool.

Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
