Ingredients

Serves 2–3 (20 minutes)
  1. 10.5 ozthinly sliced beef (for grilling) (300g)
  2. 3sausages
  3. 1/2yellow bell pepper
  4. 1/2red bell pepper
  5. 1/2zucchini
  6. 1eggplant
  7. 1/2tomato
  8. Salt, to taste
  9. Black pepper, to taste
  10. as neededAll-purpose flour,
  11. as neededVegetable oil,
  12. [A]
  13. 1 tablespoonvinegar (15 ml)
  14. 1 tablespoonsoy sauce (15 ml)
  15. 1 teaspoongochujang (5 ml)
  16. 1 teaspoonhoney (5 ml)
  17. [B]
  18. 2 tablespoonssesame oil (30 ml)
  19. 1 tablespoonlemon juice (15 ml)
  20. 1/2 teaspoongrated garlic (2.5 ml)
  21. 1/2 teaspoonsalt (2.5 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    The recommended ingredient for this recipe is thinly sliced beef for grilling.

  2. 2

    Cut the bell peppers into bite-sized pieces. Slice the zucchini and eggplant into half-moons about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick. Cut the sausages in half.

  3. 3

    Season the beef with salt and pepper, dust with flour, and tightly roll into bite-sized balls.

  4. 4

    Thread the prepared vegetables and beef onto skewers, alternating for color.

  5. 5

    Heat a griddle or electric skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil. Arrange the skewers and cook.

  6. 6

    Once browned, turn the skewers over, cover with a lid, and steam until cooked through.

  7. 7

    In a bowl, mix together ingredients [A], then add the tomato cut into 1/2-inch (1 cm) cubes and toss. In a separate bowl, mix ingredients [B] to make two types of sauces.

  8. 8

    Serve the skewers with your choice of sauce from step 7.
