Ingredients

1/2 cupbutter or shortening
1/2 cupsugar
2eggs
21/2 cupsflour sifted
1 cupchopped nuts
3large bananas put through a sieve about a 11/2 cups
1/2 teaspoonssoda
2 teaspoonsbaking powder
3/4 teaspoonssalt
1/2 cupbuttermilk

Cream the shortening slowly add the sugar and beat well

Add the eggs one at a time beat thoroughly

Add the bananas and nuts
4

Alternately add the dry ingredients and the milk
5

Pour into large loaf pan or 2 small ones
6

Bake at 350 for 1 hour
