Happy Birthday 🙏🥳🎂🎉🌹🙏 to Lalla ( Baby Krishna ) , Ladoo Gopal .
On this Auspicious Occasion of Krishna Janmashtami , I decided to bake a Special Cake for the Lord . It is usually the custom to make Makhan Mishri, Panjari & offer to Baby Krishna. But today , moving with present times, I thought of Offering Lalla ( Baby Krishna ) A Cake with all the goodness of chocolate in it . It is made with Singhade ka Atta ( Water chestnut flour ) & Rajgira Atta .
This is a healthy cake . Singhade ka atta is high in Potassium so helps in keeping blood pressure in control , gluten free , low in sodium & helps in weight loss . It is used in making parathas , fritters , sheera & ofcourse cake to say the least .
Dark Chocolate : contains many health benefits,nutrients & antioxidants including brain function, healthy heart, blood sugar regulation & prevents liver damage are few benefits that we get by eating Dark Chocolate .

Sieve the flours with baking powder & baking soda twice / thrice. Keep aside.

Take curds in a bowl. Mix lightly. Add powdered sugar & whisk gently. Once both curds & sugar are mixed add the sieved flour in batches.Whisk by cut & fold method.

Add milk slowly & mix in one direction only, till the batter achieves dropping consistency. About little more then 1/4 cup of milk will go in the batter. Add oil & vanilla essence, mix gently.

Now pour the batter in a greased & lined cake tin. Sprinkle twin choco chips on top. I have used a 6 inch cake tin.

Heat a pan & put a stand in it. Add little water in the pan. Heat the water. Put the cake tin on the stand. Cover with a lid. After 40 minutes,check with a toothpick, the cake is done or not. If not, cook for 5 more minutes.

Remove the cake from the pan & cool. Invert the cake on a plate. Remove the butter paper. Cool completely & cut into desired pieces. Serve this trending Farali Cake with chunky chocolate pieces to guests on Janmashtami 🙏🙏& earn praises from relatives & friends. 🙏🌹🙏🌹.

Note : As this cake is made in a pan on a gas stove, the cake will be light in colour on the top. The top of the cake will not darken as when baked in an oven. Also this cake will not be soft like cakes made using All-purpose flour or maida.This cake will be dense, as water chestnut & rajgira flours are used. Maida is a lighter flour than water chestnut & rajgira flours.

Also note those who don't eat baking powder in fast, you can add 1 tsp eno fruit salt & omit cooking soda too.
