In a heavy pan over medium heat add mustard seeds in hot oil. Lrt them pop open. Then add cumin seeds, fenugreek and coriander seeds. Add curry leaves, onions, chillies, ash gourd, bell pepper and celery and sauté; add 4 cups of water Bring it to boil

Cook the soaked dried beans in a pressure cooker and then put them in a blender. Add to the add garlic, ginger, green chilies, coconut pieces and water in a blender and grind to a make a smooth paste. stir in the paste in the soup items cooking in the sauce pan, Add coconut milk, Stir in cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg powders. simmer after a couple of minutes turn the stove off. You may use a hand blender and blend them together

Transfer the soup to a serving bbowl. Ganish with dry roasted cashews and cilantreo
