Soak chickpeas overnight.

Next day boil chickpeas till tender.

Soak tamarind and plums for couple of hours.

Discard the seeds of plums and tamarind.

Blend the tamarind and plum mixture with sugar.

Cook together chickpeas, salt and blended mixture till moisture evaporates and masala is dry.

Lightly roast the Karri Patta.

Add all spices and Karri Patta to the chickpeas.

Mix it very well.

Serve straight away.
