Italians do love their fried or roasted peppers! Long hots are one of the best! They are spicy, so be cautious. These are great as a side dish or appetizer.
Steps

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Coat the peppers with olive oil and generously salt them.
- 3
Place on a non stick baking sheet and roast them in the oven for approximately 30 minutes, until they soften and begin to show signs of charring. They will start to brown. Make sure they don’t blacken.

Place in a bowl and serve with a loaf of Italian bread. They may be served warm, room temperature or refrigerated! So versatile!
