  1. 500 g (1 lb)beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  2. 1/4 cupsoy sauce
  3. 2 tbspcalamansi juice (or substitute with lemon juice or lime juice)
  4. 1 tbspbrown sugar (adjust to taste)
  5. 4 clovesgarlic, minced or crushed
  6. 1/2 tspground black pepper
  7. 1 tbspoyster sauce (optional but adds depth)
  8. 1 tbspvinegar (adds slight tang; optional)
  9. Pinchsalt (optional, depending on saltiness of soy sauce)

Cooking Instructions

    Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix it thoroughly. Place your meat in the marinade. For best result, leave it overnight but if you want to cook same day, marinate for at least 2 hours for best taste.
