Soak the chickpeas in hot water overnight and in the morning drain the water and add another water and salt and cook in the cooker for 4/5 minutes. Add cumin and asafoetida, add ginger and garlic paste and saute it. After that, add the chopped onion and saute it. When the onion turns soft, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander, cumin powder and a little water to make a paste and add it. Add the spices and saute it. Now add lemon juice, sugar and salt to it. Add the boiled chickpeas and stir everything well. Finally, add garam masala and garnish with coriander and onion rings and serve with paratha or roti
