Today, I've made bajra and ragi roti, adding sifted wheat flour for binding.
∆Bajra and ragi roti is a popular and nutritious traditional Indian flatbread. It's a staple dish in many regions of India, particularly in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and some parts of South India.
∆Both bajra and ragi are highly nutritious grains.
Bajra is a good source of essential minerals like magnesium and potassium.
Ragi is rich in iron, calcium, and dietary fiber.
∆This gluten-free roti is an excellent choice for those with gluten intolerance.
Bajra and ragi roti can be described as nutritious, rustic, and culturally significant, known for its unique flavor. ∆I've made a simple roti here, but you can add ingredients like black pepper, cumin, salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, or coriander to give it a personalized touch.

Combine the flour well and add water little by little to form a smooth roti dough. Make small holes in the dough with your fingers, sprinkle some water, and cover it.

After 10 minutes, knead the dough well and apply some ghee. Knead the dough again and make equal-sized portions (loovaa).

  5. 5

Take a portion of dough, roll it in dry flour (atta), and gently shape it into a smooth, circular roti with your hands.

  7. 7

Place a clay tawa on the gas, and once it's hot, put the rolled-out roti on it. Cook on low heat, flipping it on both sides until it's cooked well. Then, place the roti directly on the gas flame and roast it with the help of tongs (the roti will puff up like a ball). Remove it to a plate and apply pure ghee. Make all the rotis this way.

Cooking isn’t just something I do — it’s a piece of my heart, served on a plate. From the sizzle of spices in hot oil to the quiet joy of kneading dough with my hands, every dish I make carries a story, a memory, a feeling. Whether it's comfort food on rainy days or something bold that sparks curiosity, cooking is how I express love, creativity, and care. Each ingredient, every flavor, speaks of passion — not just for food, but for the smiles it brings, the moments it creates, and the warmth it spreads.✨ This isn’t just food. It’s a part of me.Come join my journey:https://www.instagram.com/krishna_recipes_?igsh=MXIzdzYwMXJ0Nno3OQ==
