Niramish Paneer
Steps
- 1
First take a small bowl and add poppy seeds in it. Add some water just to soak it well. Let it soak for about an hour. Then grind it into a smooth paste.
- 2
Now take a frying pan, brush some oil on it. Then just stir-fry the paneer by flipping the sides. Fry until they become golden from both the sides as shown below in the images. Now remove them and dip the paneer pieces in water otherwise it would become hard.
- 3
Now take a bowl and add all the dried masalas like corriender powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, sugar and grated ginger too. Add some water to it and make a thick paste out of it.
- 4
Now heat a pan. Add some mustard oil. Then add some jeera, bay leaf, dried red chillies and some curry leaves. Once they starts spluttering, add some chopped tomatoes to it. Now fry it until the tomato pieces becomes little tender. Then add the masala paste in it and fry it on a low flame.
- 5
Fry the masala for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add some garam masala and mix it too.
- 6
Them add the poppy seeds paste (prepared in step 1 above). Give it a mix and fry the masala for another 1 minute. Add some chopped capsicum too at this stage. Cook for another 1 minute.
- 7
Now add the fried paneer to it along with some water for gravy. Add little salt and mix it. Then sprinkle some kasuri methi and mix it once again.
- 8
Let it cook for about 5 to 7 minutes. Then switch off the flame. Your Niramish Paneer is now ready to serve.
